Different points of view are a recurring idea. People shouldn't be taken at face value no matter what side of the law they are on, and this book clearly shows that. The author makes a point to show that there are different sides to everyone. The legal people are not all negative, and the legal people are not all positive. This adds it to the characters and makes them more realistic and human so the reader can connect.
