In my opinion, the fourth chapter in titled "Awakening" because Siddhartha has come to the realization that he had benefited all he can from spiritual society (organized). It is at this point, his awakening, that he realizes he has lost himself in his search for Atman and Nirvanaknows, and he knows it is time to follow his own path.... to enlightenment, and that in order to do so, he must learn from himself.... be his own teacher.
