The tower that Sierra paints the mural on symbolizes the gentrification of Brooklyn by outsiders. It is the tallest building on the block and the only one that is not a brownstone. The local residents use it to express their dislike of gentrification efforts by having Sierra paint the mural on it. The fact that it is not finished symbolizes the fact that the gentrification efforts are not finished. Its appearance and location symbolizes that some people see it as junk and something that is not useful. It reminds one of a gutted out car and it is adjacent to the Junklot. The fact that this is where Wick has decided to live shows that in the world of the shaadowshapers, he represents the outside force that means well, but is destroying the shadowshapers in his effort to keep them alive.
