Victor Dashkov from Shadow Kiss is the antagonist of the story. He manages to use Lissa's ability to heal himself of a disease that would have eventually killed him, then casts a lust spell on Demetri and Rose. Later, when he stands trial for his many crimes, Rose and Demetri are afraid he will tell about their affair. No one believes him when he mentions it and he is sentenced to prison for his crimes.
