Why did Hitler come to power in Germany in 1933? What events brought him to power and why would an entire nation of people follow him?

Hitler basically exploited German nationalism and used rhetoric to insight hatred to boost his push for German domination. He exploited past German losses, like in WW1, and promised a powerful dominant Germany.
