Who is Annalise St. Bride from Salem Falls and what is their importance?

Annalise St. Bride is Jack's mother. She doesn't believe Jack when he tells her he is innocent of sexual assault. Throughout Jack's life, Annalise has worked to help women who have been badly used by men. This stems from the experience she had when Jack was born, when she was forced to have him in a low-income hospital and had a chance to experience how the lower class lives. She is selfless in her mission, even taking in her husband's mistress after her husband dies.
