What is the author's style in Remembrance of Things Past by Marcel Proust?

The point of view in the novel is first person. The point of view is fairly reliable since it is retrospective through flashbacks. Due to the novel being told through flashbacks, the point of view is nearly omniscient as well. This is important in order for the reader to be able to understand different aspects of the characters' personalities.
