What happens when they encounter a German soldier in the German trenches?

A German soldier comes out from behind a curtain. The German and the British all stand there doing nothing for a moment; they just staring at each other. Instead of putting his hands up and coming with them quietly, like he is supposed to, the German runs shrieking back through the curtain to warn his comrades.
