Pride and Prejudice has a number of symbols. First, there are the various homes, manors, and estates that play such a huge role in the novel. They represent the people who own them (or rent them). When Bingley rents the manor hall for a short while, it represents him, in many ways. He is quite the looker, but in the end, is empty and does not possess the ability to actually be fulfilled.
