Who is Annie Gerard from Prey and what is their importance?

Annie Gerard is Jack's "headhunter." In other words, her job is to find Jack a job. Jack has a meeting with Annie on Day 4, during which, she points out that he can't be pick about the jobs offered to him and tells him of jobs out of state.
