Jacob Todd (the younger) from Postcards from No Man's Land suffers from depression. At his family's urging, they tell him to go to Amsterdam to visit the grave of his grandfather. When he goes, he meets the woman who took care of him during the war after he was wounded. He finds out that his father and this woman had an affair adn fathered a child with this woman. The family he is staying with, then are really his relatives. This causes a major identity crisis for him.
