Who is Richard Saunders from Poor Richard's Almanack and what is their importance?

Richard Saunders was Franklin's pseudonym. Like Franklin, he is a seeker of knowledge, as well as an astrologer. Franklin, however, keeps Saunders separate from himself. Saunder's readers look forward to his stories about his life..... and Saunders only refers to Franklin as his printer.
