Terrorism is a major theme in this book. George W. Bush declares formal war on terrorism after four al-Qaeda teams coordinate airline hijackings on September 11, 2001, two strike and demolish the World Trade Center in New York, another strikes and damages the Pentagon, and the fourth crashes in Pennsylvania, but under his predecessor, retribution has been meted out for individual acts of terror.
