The language of the book is both poetic and confusing. The artful description of the landscape of Fairy Land draws the reader in and makes the reader a part of the story. The reader is able to feel the cold wind of the wintry sea and sense the fairy music floating through the halls of the Fairy Palace. Although the reader is able to gain a strong sense of the people and places in Fairy Land, the lack of proper names for characters and objects creates some confusion.
