Who is Cato the Younger from Plutarch's Lives, Volume 2 and what is their importance?

Cato the Younger was a wealthy Roman known for his severe manner. He fought alongside Pompey in the civil war against Caesar and was defeated in Utica. Cato took his own life, as Caesar's forces advanced on Utica.
