Andy's father's most valuable possession was his dream..... the career he never attained, but also the career that he wanted for his son. Andy's father wanted to be an engineer, he wanted to leave Serenity, and he wanted to go to MIT..... this was his career because he never made it.... the dream he had of doing it. This dream/ career is something like a curse to Andy because it is his father's career, his father's dream. It's important, but it isn't his own.
