Whip Logan. from One of Those Hideous Books Where the Mother Dies, is Ruby's father, who also happens to be a famous movie star. He left Ruby's mother before Ruby was born and is very excited to be a part of her life again. Ruby is less than enthusiastic about his attempts to reach out to her.
