After announcing to his wife that they should get a divorce, his wife, Naina, seeks her father's help in securing revenge. Mangalam's paramour is then banished, and he is emotionally distraught because of her absence. In return, Mangalam proceeds to try and make his wife a laughing stock by seducing her friends. As a result, he is eventually deported to the United States, far from his native land and people.
