Who is the Cyclops in the book The Odyssey?

Polyphemus is the Cyclops son of Poseidon, who is blinded by Odysseus. Polyphemus is a shepherd, who refuses to host Odysseus and eats some of his men. He curses Odysseus and asks Poseidon for revenge.
