Why does Nora decide to sell her family's vacation cottage in Cush in the novel, Nora Webster?

Nora and her family have vacationed at the cottage for years, and although it is filled with happy memories, Nora cannot enjoy herself at the cottage anymore. The need to move on leads Nora to sell the cottage not only for financial reasons, but for emotional reasons as well.
