Carlisle Cullen from New Moon is the 'father' of the family group of vampires living in Forks, Washington. He was originally with the Volturi in Italy centuries ago, but turned his back on that lifestyle, instead embracing a lifestyle that doesn't include human blood. To make up for his former bloodlust he has trained himself not to crave human blood so much so that he has become a doctor. He is married to Esme.
