Imagery:

"Cruelty is easy. Cruelty, like stupidity, is quick, immediate. They break in, they wear masks, they smell bad, they have machetes, they chop off the heads of my old parents sitting on their couch ... cruelty is generic. Cruelty is boring, boring into the center of the part of you that goes away. We are dead - all of us- to the suffering."
