What happened to Muhammad in 610?

In the year, 610, Muhammad had an experience with an angel who commanded him to recite. Muhammad responded by reciting what would become the Quran. As a result of this experience, he began preaching to the Arab world, which consisted of a variety of tribes without any unified laws. He preached for the next twenty-three years until his death on June 8, 632.
