How does Laura respond to her family's move to the farm in the novel, Mudbound?

The move to the farm removes Laura from the only world she has ever known and places her into a rural farm country, where she is supposed to make a home out of the rustic house that has no electricity or running water. The move makes Laura feel as though she has lost her identity.
