Significance of Freezer

The buzzing freezer in the Charles’ house represents the impossibility of forgetting what happened to Monday once news gets out. Claudia keeps hearing this buzzing sound in her head immediately after finding out, which, at first, leads her to have mental breakdowns. In the end, though, she learns to change her perspective of this sound to represent Monday’s continued presence in her life.
