Ibrahim Faraj, a middle class and educated man, approaches Hamida during one of her walks and soon seduces her, making her believe that they have a future together. Believing that she will finally be free of the alley, she leaves with him, only to discover that he is acutally a pimp, who teaches her—renamed Titi—the prostitute's trade.
