How is the earth created according to Ovid in Metamorphoses?

According to Ovid, an unnamed creator began to separating the forces of the world - land from sea, light air from heavy air, light from dark. Then, realizing that all this space was unused, the creator created animals and man to live on the earth. In the beginning, all of these forces cohabited smoothly, taking care of each other and the land.
