Major Stuart was Louisa's father. He was traveling throughout the colonies when he discovered his daughter, who'd been taken away from him by her mother. Stuart then left Louisa in Wieland's care while he went onto complete his travels. Unfortunately, by the time he returns, Louisa has been murdered.
