How were Twain and the Ajax welcomed to Hawaii?

The first islands sighted by the Ajax were Oahu and Molokai, and Twain describes the raising of both the Hawaiian and the American flags in salute to the ship. It was a Sunday morning when the Ajax landed, so there were church bells ringing, and several hundred natives there to welcome it.
