How do you think Lizabeth’s destruction of Miss Lottie’s marigolds relates to her transition from adolescence to adulthood?

I think pulling out the flowers was done out of frustrations from her own life. They were poor and her father could not find work. Lizabeth found no beauty in her life, so she attacked something that was beautiful to feel better. Her immense regret after doing this marked an important transition into adulthood. Lizabeth felt Mis. Lottie's pain: she felt empathy. This is an important step into adulthood.
