What does Olivia represent?

Olivia represents the importance of Asher’s reconnection with his previous life. Although he now has experience as an incarcerated teenager, his connection to his mother through her constant visits and relationship with the bees reminds him that his life is not over and he must continue fighting. She reminds him that there is still something redeemable about his character.
