how does lyddie react to being fired? why?

In the book, Lyddie, the main character, Lyddie is fired from her job at the tavern. She has hated her time there, and part of her is happy that she's been fired because it frees her up to go to Massachusetts to try and become a factory girl. Triphena gives her the money to go to Lowell by carriage.
