In Chapter Eleven, Sinclair unsuccessfully attempts to manipulate Krome's resignation and them finds himself under the threat of losing his job. This brings Sinclair to Grange where he meets Demencio, his Madonna, and painted turtles. This foreshadows a moment of personal revelation for Sinclair that will take him down an interesting road.
