Why might love at first sight be possible

I have to debate about how Love at first sight is possible. And I am having trouble finding how it is possible.

I think that love at first sight is a very colloquial term that needs to first define what is exactly considered to be love. Initial attraction can happen very quickly, but the "love" part really depends on what one considers to be love.
