Which character in the novel Lord of the Flies do we feel the most sympathy for?

and why? Thank you for answering, I'm really stuck with this question

Personally, I would choose Piggy. From the beginning he is not cut out to survive in the wild. He is 'everyman' to some extent; the civilized part of mankind that wouldn't make it without the creature comforts. He is not able to adapt or adjust, becomes an outcast, and in the end, is hunted. Most feel sympathy for him because he is basically a good person at heart and no one (except Ralph) seems to like him. They use him at most. Everyone can identify with being the odd man out.
