Why is Chip kicked out of the basketball game in "one hundred nine days before"? What does he tell Miles about his history at the basketball games?

During the game, Chip leads the rest of the school in heckling the opposing team and is eventually thrown out, confessing to Miles (who has left the auditorium with him) that he (Chip) is on a thirty-seven game streak of being thrown out. Miles comments admiringly in narration.
