Bryson is the boy who stood up for his friend Ty when others accuse Ty of having kissed another boy. Bryson gave Ty an exaggerated kiss on the cheek, hoping that it would put a stop to the bullying. Instead, it caused the other boys to turn on Bryson and he got beat up on the way home from school. Bryson clearly cares about Ty, and he is clearly a tolerant boy who does not feel the need to bully others, even if they are not like him
