Taboo and incest come to mind as themes. H.H. (Mumbert Humbert) sees his relationship with the young Lolita (his stepdaughter) as a taboo that he broke: Lolita sees it as incest. H.H. argues that it is natural for men to seek younger girls. Yuck.
