What is the author's style in Little Brother by Cory Doctorow?

This book is written in a clear style so that although it is very deeply rooted in technology terms, the reader does not need to know a lot about technology in order to be able to understand the book. Marcus is very adept not only in the area of using technology, but also explaining how it works. There are many places in the book where Marcus explains how the technology that he uses to outwit the DHS works. Even though Marcus does use techy terms and computer terms, he does not leave his readers in the dark but explains each term that he uses.
