The story is presented in first person from a limited perspective. The point of view alternates between Sam Roth, Grace Brisbane, Isabel Culpper and Cole St. Clair. The varying perspectives are identified by subtitles and each chapter is presented from various perspectives. The changing perspectives do not change the flow of the story. The narrative portions of the story remain consistent in tone and language. The dialogue also remains consistent. The changing of perspectives does not disrupt the flow of the story. The various characters are often used to present the same piece of information from different perspectives.
