Life of Pi

Pi offers a brief but poignant philosophical conclusions, “and so it goes with God.” What does he mean? Having viewed the film and read these excerpts from the book, what do you think Pi is saying about religion?

I think Pi is saying that to have faith in a story, or even a parable, is like having faith in God. It is the story that brings enlightenment, like God, if one chooses to believe.
