Who is Thomas Clayton from Legacies and what is their importance?

Thomas is Ronald Clayton's son. He is a middle-aged man, who has spent his entire life only doing what he has to in order to get by. Thomas is intelligent, but he has only held mid-level jobs all his life. One afternoon while visiting his father, Thomas discovers that his father has created broadcast power..... a source of power that does not require wires or fuel. He wants his father to go public with the news, but Ronald Clayton refuses. As a result, Thomas decides to go out on his own and sell the information for his father's work.
