Montana symbolizes hope for Layla and Leeds moving forward with their lives. The couple decide not to stay at the bed and breakfast, or go back to their lives elsewhere, including Layla’s life in Chicago. They opt to move somewhere where neither has a connection. This allows Leeds and Layla to put the past behind them and start anew.
