Last Shot: A Final Four Mystery

In Chapter 2, Stevie meets the other winner of the student reporter essay contest, Susan Carol Anderson at breakfast. He also meets Joe Mitch, who is one of the judges of the essay contest, and more importantly, he meets a famous sports writer, Dick "Hoops" Weiss, who says he enjoyed reading Stevie's essay.

Stevie's reaction to Susan is confusing because he seems to be taken back by the fact that she is a huge fan of the Duke basketball team. Meeting Dick Weiss is exciting and enjoyable, as is hearing that he enjoyed Stevie's essay.
