Who is Caleb from Ladies and Gentlemen and what is their importance?

Caleb appears in the story, When in Rome. He is a lawyer with a younger brother, Kevin, who is always in some kind of trouble. Caleb and Kevin had a falling out, after Kevin nearly caused Caleb's arrest for cocaine possession. As a result, the brothers didn't speak for several years. When their parents die, however, Caleb and Kevin rebuild their relationship.
