Julius Caesar

Is the play mistitled, and should it have been called “The Tragedy of Brutus”? What is the most compelling argument for why the play is titled as it is?

The play might easily have been titled, The Tragedy of Brutus. In the end, I believe that Shakespeare likely titled the play the way he did because of name recognition..... a better way to draw an audience. We also have to remember that the play is a culmination of Caesar's tragedy... Caesar's story. Without Caesar, there wouldn't be a story.
