Brutus seems the type of character that lives 'in the moment' and that is both a strength and a weakness. When he is acting as a friend to Julius, he is a true friend (at the moment). When he feels patriotic stirrings, he is loyal to the country above all others. He is driven by a deep need for justice and to do the 'right' thing. The problem is, he doesn't always know what the right thing IS and he is easily persuaded by others.
