How is Brutus gullible in Julius Caesar?

Brutus is gullible in Julius Caesar because he allows himself to be manipulated by his passion to be a good citizen. He's totally embraced and internalized the entire belief system that everything should be given up for the good of the state and that the individual matters little compared to that.
