Blanche comes away very disappointed. We learn later that she has been told by the gypsy that Rochester isn't as wealthy as he seems. Since she's only marrying him for the money, this is disappointing. Later, Jane has her fortune read, but then finds out that its Rochester in disguise. We learn that Rochester is a haunted man on many levels.
