Who is Stanislaus Joyce from James Joyce and what is their importance?

Stanislaus was James' younder brother and closest confidant. He was a talented man who spent most of his life living in his brother's shadow. During WWI, he spends a arge amount of time imprisoned in work camps as a result of his political beliefs.
